CURRENT WORK
Head of the Catalan Bird-Ringing Office. I began working as a secretary of administration for the former Catalan Ringing Group in August 1988, therefore I am the senior member of the staff. In this period I have undertaken all sort of tasks, from errand up to general manager. My current position involves the administration of rings, annual ringing balances, as well as the management of recaptures and of especial marking readings. I also work as a editorial secretary for the Catalan Journal of Ornithology and as a head of the publications of the ICO. Moreover, with Sergi Herrando, I am coordinator of the Catalan Ornithological Yearbook.
INTERESTS
I am largely a self-taught ornithologist, principally focused on bird ringing, and more specifically on migration. For more than a decade, I have designed and conducted a ringing project on the Yellow Wagtail in the Ebro Delta. I have created and promoted the first ringing stations at the Cadi mountain range, and at the Ebro Valley in Flix. Moreover, I have conducted ringing projects focused on the Song Thrush, Dupont's Lark, Yellow-legged Gull among other species.
After all these years collecting data, I still seek to have the time to analyse and publish them.
