The first report of the Winter Bird Atlas provides information about the bases and progress of the project, its participants and a selection of the results obtained in the first year. It contains a section devoted to the applications that the Catalan Breeding Bird Atlas 1999-2002 has had so far, an another section with narratives in which four collaborators explain their experiences "atlasing". It has an English summary.
